We recently received a grant from the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation to allow us the opportunity to purchase a large bell to use during our program events & retreats here at Empty Mountain. A big thank you to the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation and its generous donors for their support.

A Seed is Sprouting
In July of 2002, Empty Mountain Practice Center went from a seed to a sprout and is starting to plant roots in the Lolo National Forest near Superior, Montana (60-miles west of Missoula). OI members Mike & Nicole went from in-town living to simple living in the woods, off-grid & without running water, to follow a long-held vision of establishing a small mindfulness practice center, with the aspiration of offering residential living opportunities, based in the Plum Village tradition of spiritual practice. We’re out here taking one small step at a time.
