Springtime at EM

Spring in the mountains is slowly unfolding. Regular blog posts here on our website & video uploads on YouTube have resumed, and we even have our calendar of mindfulness related gatherings planned (please see our events tab). We are home & happy, watering the seeds of Empty Mountain slow & steady.

Our vision also includes the future potential of residential living, from seasonal to full-time living options on site.

A Seed is Sprouting

In July of 2002, Empty Mountain Practice Center went from a seed to a sprout and is starting to plant roots in the Lolo National Forest near Superior, Montana (60-miles west of Missoula). OI members Mike & Nicole went from in-town living to simple living in the woods, off-grid & without running water, to follow a long-held vision of establishing a small mindfulness practice center, with the aspiration of offering residential living opportunities, based in the Plum Village tradition of spiritual practice. We’re out here taking one small step at a time.
